What is Helmweave?
Helmweave is a voice-first command center for the AI agents already on your computer. Talk or type to an orchestrator, delegate work into persistent missions, and follow handoffs between agents in one interface.
Which AI agents can I connect?
Built-in CLI connections include Hermes, Codex CLI, Claude Code, Pi, and OpenCode. You can also register a custom CLI executable or a chat completions API endpoint, then create distinct role presets for each connection.
Does everything stay on my computer?
The host runs on your computer and stores missions, settings, and history locally in SQLite. Credentials stay on the host. Relevant task context and voice recordings are sent to the model and audio providers you choose; Helmweave is not an offline-only system.
Can I use it from my phone or tablet?
Yes. A browser on your phone, tablet, or another computer can connect to the running host on your network using its access key. Agents and file operations run on the host computer. Microphone access on network devices requires trusted HTTPS.
What do I need to get started?
Node.js 24 or newer, access to the Helmweave source repository, and a configured provider key for intelligent routing. Install and authenticate your preferred worker CLI before scanning for agents. Audio uses OpenAI when configured, with a browser speech fallback.
Is Helmweave available for every operating system?
The web interface, Node host, and SQLite storage target macOS, Windows, and Linux. Agent availability and desktop automation depend on your installed tools. The built-in Hermes desktop health check currently uses CuaDriver on macOS.
